3rd Annual ESC Market Transformation Conference held in St. Paul, MN

September 18, 2014

What do the four seasons, a mighty river, energy industry leaders, and a successful conference have in common?  The 2014 Energy Services Coalition National Conference.  Held in beautiful St. Paul, July 29th and 30th along the Mighty Mississippi, national energy leaders came from across the country to share success, new ideas and identify growing trends.

The two day conference began with a Welcome Reception hosted by the National Energy Services Coalition followed by a full day of learning, sharing with industry leaders and state and national program leaders.  Key speakers, such as Dr. Tim Unruh, Program Manager, US DOE Federal Energy Management, spoke on federal initiatives that support energy retrofits through ESPC.  Peter Larsen, Senior Engineering Associate, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory introduced a new energy tracking tool. State Chapter Leaders participated in roundtable discussions sharing successes and discussing ongoing activities.

The Jonathan Padelford riverboat cruise networking event was a hit with all attendees to socialize while enjoying a two hour cruise on the Mississippi River. The following morning highlighted some state and project success stories, emerging technologies and brainstorming ideas.  The conference wrap-up included award presentations and announcement of next year’s conference location in Charlotte, North Carolina.
